I didn’t post yesterday, but that’s because I worked all day and then I had a family party until 1AM! Also, I drank a teeny tiny bit. So I was tired! >_>
Anyhoo, I have a drawing for you today, but it’s just a quick one:

GEORGE! <3
I probably should’ve spent more time on him…oh well. Also, I just realised that the horizontal guideline I drew is completely wrong. :X

Thought I’d get in early today, since I’m going to a party tonight!
As promised, here’s yesterday’s drawing with a body:

Fixin' your pipes
The body is done in pencil this time. Photoshop makes it all look the same though, which is dandy.

Another day, another drawing:

OMG IT'S IN PEN
As that highly excitable caption indicates, yes, it is in pen! I drew it in a restaurant tonight, on the paper they used as tablecloths. Granted, it’s kinda similar to a character I did before (given the hat and all), but hey, thems the breaks! I’m drawing a body for him (in pencil) AS WE SPEAK, so with any luck, it’ll be done for tomorrow.
And we’re totally going to ignore the fact that I haven’t posted in…a while. >_>
I’ve been so royally tired when I get back from work that I can’t muster up the energy to pick up a pencil, let alone think of a new character to draw. So instead, I thought I’d show you some 3D stuff!
Egad, a tree! Also, it’s a movie about said tree
Also, I have this:

I AM OUT OF CAPTIONS.
Tonight I thought I’d do something different. I decided to progress to drawing original characters! OMGWTFBBQ. Anyhoo, here you go:

Well, he certainly looks comfy
Granted, he is somewhat inspired by the style of Rad Sechrist and yesterday’s character and yes, it’s nowhere near as good, but hey: gotta start somewhere.
In other news, I did other stuff today: my portfolio has been updated, so a bunch of missing content is now in place and stuck down with really good sticky tape. Also, I added a level design section, because someone told me to. Thanks, someone? Also, I have begun animating that tree from a while ago, so I should have a video of that up soon. ALSO I have started a new animated short! ALSO I have tweaked the kajiggers out of my little boy from Love is a Stranger. Now, back to work!

I’m trying to challenge myself everyday with what I’m drawing, so much so that I think I may have overstepped my skill range. But hey, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do! Tonight, I started by trying to draw Link in the Phantom Hourglass style (you know, from the Legend of Zelda). It…didn’t work. >_>
So instead, I decided to check out Flight Volume 2! It turns out that Rad Sechrist is most definitely living up to his first name and is fast becoming one of my favourite artists. His style (I’m assuming it’s a guy) = awesome! So, without further ado, here’s a character from a story called “Ghost Trolley”.

*YARGH*
Spent a lot of time on the head…and then totally rushed the body. Cos I’m tired. And I’ve been drawing for too long tonight and getting too frustrated!

Tardiness is a bad thing, so I thought I’d make up for yesterdays by doing TWO drawings. Yes, TWO. Granted, one of them kind of sucks, but hey, IT’S TWO.
First up: the sucky one.

Quantity definitely doesn't equal quality
This girl comes from a very charming comic in Flight called ‘I Wish’, by Vera Brugsol. Vera: I’m sorry for ruining your character. :< The reason her eyes are closed is because I just couldn’t get her eyes looking right. So yeah. Not exactly good times.
Now, onto the somewhat better one.

Poor dude, he is so frightened!
This is Speck. He is yet another friend of Timber from the other day. He has a bit of a crazy left eye.
I now have 3 sharpened pencils! I got totally soaked on the way to achieving that, but I got it done, dangit! Also, just on the website side of things, my portfolio is being tidied up: I’ve noticed there’s a lot of content missing, so I’m filling in the gaps AS WE SPEAK. Also, I’m making some slight adjustments to the Love is a Stranger boy to ensure that he matches the concept a little better.

Nothing today.
I couldn’t find a sharpener.
Lame excuse, I know, but it’s the truth. Guys: I am facing a sharpener shortage.
More drawings! Well, just one.

Aww. Little tyke
Ok, this little guy comes from yet another comic in Flight Volume 1. He has no name, and neither does the comic, but I can tell you that it was done by Chris Appelhans. It has a very awesome watercolour style, which is a little hard to draw. Also, I still haven’t sharpened my pencil, so stuff is getting REALLY hard to draw. I promise I will sharpen it for tomorrow. In fact…I’ll sharpen 3.
Onwards we go!

*POW!*
This little guy doesn’t have a name (at least, not from what I could see). I thought I’d challenge myself a bit today with a character with a more animated pose. While I did use the eraser a bit more than Timber yesterday, it’s definitely a lot less than I did on Fred. I’m gonna chalk that up to getting better?
Also, I really need to sharpen my pencil, because detailing is getting rather difficult. Yes I know, only a poor workman blames his tools, but heck, it’s really blunt!
