Yet another picture! YET AGAIN
Ant’s Adventures in the Real World!
Workity workity work work work. Here’s an Illustrator version of the boy from yesterday. He looks a little…creepy?
I might try doing a quick mock-up in 3D to see if he looks better. I have a feeling he will. It’s possible! Maybe?
Now, a logo update:
Also, here’s another photo!
Experimenting a bit more with the camera. Tried shooting out in the street with only a streetlight. Did a bit of Photoshop post-processing. It was a completely spur of the moment kind of thing, and it was quite hard to shoot as well! It was pretty dark, and trying to gauge focus in the dark is darn hard! Still, I’m relatively pleased with the result. Relatively! (And that’s my brother with his JS1000 Ibanez guitar).
Some stuff today! First up, the begining of the redesign of my little character with glasses. I am not happy with the current 3D version: I’ve realised I’ve made a bit of a mistake with him by trying to do a direct conversion from the 2D concept to 3D. The 2D version was definitly made for 2D and he just doesn’t work as well for 3D! So, without further ado:
His hair isn’t right, so I’m gonna trace this in Illustrator and modify it. Point is, this version would work a lot better in a 3D environment.
Next up: I got a camera today! I quite like it. So here’s a really crappy shot I took with it:
Bye folks!
It’s back to new logo design! Since I have no imagination, I’ve just started ultra-tidying the existing logo. Lookie!
Now, there are subtle differences! First up, much thicker strokes. Two, the lines are so much tidier and more even. The original Illustrator characters were full of vertices for the curves of the letters. I’ve removed a whole heap of them, so it’s easier to smooth. Then, some extra Photoshop trickery: figured it was time to make the colour more uniform. More soon! MAYBE.
